  • Mother Teresa was born in Shopje (Uskub)
  • Full access to wireless broadband was first established in Macedonia
  • In 2002, the Macedonian flag was voted the second best in the world behind Bhutan by the World Almanac’s editors
  • Ajvar is a traditional food of mashed eggplant and roasted peppers with garlic, oil, and salt
  • For the Macedonians, anything goes and they show up at your door unannounced so it pays to be prepared
